  • Is it possible to load defined shapes as layers?

    bmg_bob said:
Your method of entering the coordinates for DEFINE_SHAPE will not work because the command can not accept variable names for coordinate values (bug #24919 has been opened to address this).

Bug 24919 has been implemented in the latest Global Mapper 19 daily build, and will be in the next Global Mapper 20 beta release (it was not in the initial download.)  Both the DEFINE_SHAPE and DEFINE_TEXT_FILE commands will now properly process variable references.

  • Creating a new custom shader

    Hello,

To modify your custom shader, open the Configuration dialog and choose the Shader Options tab.  At the bottom of the screen, there is a section called Custom Shaders.  You can use this section to add, edit, or delete custom shaders.

    Cheers,
    Bob

  • Help for script to draw a rectangle (DEFINE_SHAPE) based on coordinates, using variables

    Hello,

The DEFINE_SHAPE command does not handle variables correctly.  I have opened bug #24919 to resolve this issue.  We will post a message on this thread when the problem has been resolved.

    Cheers,

  • Pile and Volume Measurement

    Hello,

After you calculate the volume measurements, export the data to a CSV file (there will be a button on the Feature Measurement Information screen to do this).  After that, you can select the layer and use the Layer | JOIN Attribute Table/File to Layer function to add the attributes to the features.

  • Need I purchase a license first to getting support ?

    Hello,

Blue Marble Geographics will provide support before you buy a license.  I suggest that you send them your question directly via e-mail (geohelp@bluemarblegeo.com).  If you are trying to resolve a problem, be sure to include a detailed description of your work flow, and the data that you used.  This will ensure a faster response.

    Cheers,
    Bob
