  • Altering elevation values for an ASCII export

    Hello,

The easiest way to get a good IMPORT command is to have Global Mapper do it for you as follows:
    1. Load your data into Global Mapper
    2. Use the Elevation Options | Alter Elevation Values tab to set the Maximum Valid Elevation and Minimum Valid Elevation
    3. Save a workspace
    4. Open the workspace file in a text editor such as Notepad.
    5. Copy the IMPORT command (you will likely also want the DEFINE_PROJ ... END_DEFINE_PROJ lines also so you will have the correct projection information) to your script file.

  • How to find minimum/maximum value of an attribute

    Wouldn't be possible to use

    CALC_ATTR_FORMULA NEW_ATTR="newattr_2" FORMULA="Min(existingattr_1)"

    Hi Giorgio,

The Max and Min functions used in the CALC_ATTR_FORMULA command do not operate on the entire data set. They return a result from the items in the list. For example,
    CALC_ATTR_FORMULA NEW_ATTR="newattr_2" FORMULA="Min(existing_1, existing_2, existing_3)"
will return the minimum value of the three attributes in the list.

If you are using the COPY_ATTRS command, MULTI_AREA=MIN or MULTI_AREA=MAX would copy the smallest or largest value of the attribute when multiple features intersect the area being copied.

    Cheers,
    Bob

  • 3D view not displaying coincident linework correctly (offset linework issues)

    Hello,

I suggest that you contact Blue Marble Support directly via email (geohelp@bluemarblegeo.com) to address this. Please include a detailed description of your work flow, and data (CAD and DSM) that will reproduce the problem.

    Cheers,
    Bob

  • PROMPT_TEXT - Is There Anyway Way to Wrangle With It?

    Hello,

At the moment, the text is taken from the script and placed on the dialog without any formatting, so there is no way to force a new line. I will add a feature request for putting a new line in the text. Is there anything else that would be useful?

    Cheers,
    Bob

  • Love the new features for map layouts in V20 but please could you add the overview map to the list

    Hello,

I have added your information to our feature request to add an overview/inset map to the Map Layout Editor.  We will post a message on this thread when the status of the request changes.

    Cheers,
    Bob
