It would be handy to be able to interactively assign colors to a histogram of elevations for shader creation.

    Hello,

I have added feature request #15608 to our task list so we can evaluate inclusion of this functionality in a future version of Global Mapper. We will post back to this thread when the status of the request changes.

To clarify, this is what it sounds like you would like to do:

    - Create a histogram from an elevation layer.
    - Select colors for the bins in the histogram.
    - Use the colors and bin ranges to set up a new shader.

    Is this correct?

    Cheers,

    Bob

    Hi Bob,
Sorry it took so long to reply to this. Here is a graphic that shows what I would like to be able to do.

Like in Natural Scene Designer, so you can see where the colors are breaking in real time.

    Hello,

I have added this information to the original feature request. We recently changed issue tracking systems, and the new task number is GM-3435.

    Cheers,
    Bob
