Applying vertical OR horiztonial CRS

Would it be possible to add the option to apply only the vertical reference system or only the horizontal CRS to the header when exporting las files?

Jameson,

There are separate options when exporting to LAS so that you can specify no vertical CRS to be stored and also control whether or not the horizontal projection is written to the LAS file header. Is that what you are referring to?

I'm more looking for the option to ONLY set vertical CRS and not change the horizontal projection (were having trouble with GM recognizing some of our horizontal projections so we have been setting them elsewhere.) My apologies for not making that clear.

Can you provide a sample where GM is not recognizing the horizontal projection? I would rather just fix that and eliminate your need for the other software to work around that problem altogether.

Per my other post:

"I'm trying to apply EPSG 3404 (nad83(harn) / north carolina (ftus)) projection to a las file but when opening the exported file in GM or Lastools I'm receiving EPSG 2264 and no mention of HARN. The previous code for the this projection is 3359 however is its depreciated and results are the same regardless."

Ah for some reason I never saw your other post! I'll look at that now and just make the HARN projections save and restore properly if possible.
