custom map layout with lat longs only at edges

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to export a map image that does not have grid lines on the map itself, but does have lat long points around the edges for reference?
Thanks for any help.

You could use the option to create a regular grid of features in the Digitizer tool to create grid lines with points at the end points, then just turn off the grid lines and areas.
Thanks,

Thank you very much, that works. Is there a way to set the lines in the grid to be at a specific degree, like 50 degrees, instead of starting wherever the initial point is, and is there a way to change the text to just be degrees and not seconds?

The lat/lon text formatting will be based on your Position Display Format setting on the General tab of the Configuration dialog, so you can set it to be just degrees there.
For getting the grid lines at a specific degree, just press the Anchor Point button on the grid setup dialog and make the anchor point be at the lat/lon you want, then everything will be relative to that.
Thanks,
Mike

Thank you!

Sorry, one more blip--I set the Position Display Format to show degrees, but the grid keeps displaying in decimals, even though I checked the "Geographic Coordinates" selection in the Anchor Point setting.

Oops it turns out the Position Display Format setting wasn't being used for the grid line endpoint formatting for degrees like it should. I've fixed that now. I have placed a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper15.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v15.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v15 version there is a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper15_64bit.zip .
Thanks,
Mike
