Dear Mike,
i generate contour area with a dem. I would like to have adjacent areas instead of areas covering each others themselves. Do you know a way to do that ?

What you can do is instead of using the contour generation is right-click on the DEM in the Control Center and select the create equal value areas. Then provide the elevation "fuzziness" as your contour spacing, then you should get adjacent areas for different elevation ranges.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

I' worry, it works but not exactly at all. GM generated a contour with a range of 0.01 meter instead of 0.05 m. Could you tell me why ?

Oh the elevation fuzziness is actually for either side of a value, so if you want the total range to be 0.05, specify the fuzziness as 0.025.

    Thanks,
