Querying Terrain Database

I have shp building polygons( which include building heights as elevation-amsl). I want to take a bald-earth terrain database I have and use GM to determine what the bald earth terrain values are at each polygon object(there are about 300k of them) and then create an AGL height per building type(elevation amsl of building - bald earth elevation value). Is this something I can do with GM, if so, can you point me in the right direction.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I think what you want is the option to calculate elevation statistics for each area, including average, min, and max in each. To do this, simply load your terrain then also the area features, then select those areas with the Digitizer Tool, right-click, then select the option to add measure attributes (under the Analysis/Measurement submenu in v14).
Thanks,
Mike
