Hi Mike,
i have many georeferenced tif files (more than +- 600) and i like to create a map catalog. Unfortunately, GM can not catalog a large number of files.
But, i have too an associated vector layer (a grid) containing the name of the tif files.
Do GM could use that grid in order to make a catalog ?

    While you can't create it from a grid of features, you can add large numbers of files at once (i.e. more than you can safely select in a Windows open dialog) by using the 'Add Directory' button on the map catalog dialog. There are no limits on the file count (actual combined filename length) with that option.

    You can also right-click on the map catalog file list and choose the option to add them from a file, so you could export your grid vector data to a CSV file then in Excel delete all but the column with the filename, then use that to add the files.
