I am really new at GM and I am having trouble understanding how to mosaic. I have eight aerial images (.tif) that I want to piece together to make one image that can also be exported as a .tif . Could someone tell what exactly I have to do to get a good result? This is probably a really easy question but I have been struggling.

Assuming the .tif files have position information in them you should just need to load them all with the File->Open Data File menu command and they will mosaic together automatically. You can then just use the File->Export Raster Data menu command to export them to a single new image.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Thanks Mike, that is actually what I am doing right now. I just updated to 12.01 this morning from GM 7 so things seem to be going a lot more smoothly!

    Thanks

Perfect! I can't believe how easy that is and quick, less than an hour.

Thanks for the help and the quick response.
