Hi again,
I think the title is already explicit. I have generated a contour layer from DEM and I want to know where does Global Mapper has saved this vector layer and under what extension : gmw or ???
Warm Thanks

When you generate contours from a DEM that data is stored in memory until you either save a workspace file or export the data to a new file using one of the File->Export Vector menu commands.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Ok, that's fine !
But what is the specific global mapper files format of vector layers ?

Do you mean teh format used internally in memory? There are a collection of data structures used in memory.

I suppose you might be talking about the format used within workspace files when you save the contours. In this case it is an internal format that is somewhat complicated and not publicly documented anywhere (mainly because I don't have time to write such a document and not because of any desire for secrecy).

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,
