Can't display the North Arrow in maplayout

Hi all
I don't know why the north arrow can't be display in may map layout, i did chose the option Display the North Arrow.....
I use GM version 14
Any body know this problem, is there another way to creat the north arrow

Which north arrow symbol do you have selected? Is your map data properly positioned at a valid lat/lon? That is required so that the direction of north is known.
