Elevation Data Download

Hello,
First off I am very new to global mapper and am using it to scout locations to place 5 acre plots in that have uniform elevation and in 3d viewer can bring the water table up and see what it does when we get a huge rain to make sure it wont pond water. I need to be able to download elevation files becasue I wont always have an internet connection to pull them from the web. I would like to be able to download the online data source, United State Elevation Data from the Global Mapper selection list.

    When you are connected, use the File->Export->Export Elevation Data menu command to export some chunk of the NED data to a local file that you can then use offline. You might also consider using the Terrain Analysis->Generate Watershed menu command to run flow analysis scenarios.
