shp file of states

I am trying to export raster images to the bounds of a state. I downloaded the shapefile for the U.S. states from here and created a new feature. I set the attributes to no fill and null border because I just want the imagery to show, not the state's border. When I exported I see an occasional black line where the feature (state) is. What should I be doing to get rid of that occasional black line in the web export? I also noted that the feature doesn't quite line up with what Google Map's border of the state is. Is there anywhere to get shapefiles for what Google uses or is there another alternative to get it just a little better?

I found a shp file that has better vertices than the one on this forum. I exported with it and noticed no lines and it seems to match up with google maps better on the state borders.
