LIDAR elevation

I have a set of LIDAR data with which I am experiencing elevation difficulties. After loading the data I am finding elevations to be three times what I find on Google earth. The difference appears to be a meter/feet multiplication error. I have tried loading the data using a projection with both meters and feet (planar units) with the same result each time. I have tried changing the projection from the control panel/options tab as well. Still no result. Clearly, I am missing the means to adjust the elevation units variable. Any help on how to properly load LIDAR data would be greatly appreciated.

Pedro,
You need to go to the Alter Elevations or Attribute tab (former if gridded, latter if point cloud) of the Options dialog for the layer and update the elevation units there. The elevation units are independent of the ground units.
