Appending Elevations to Exported Point SHP

Hi all,
This has probably been covered before, but I am fairly new to Global Mapper. I was wondering if there is a way to get GM14 to append elevations extracted from a DEM to a 2D point SHP feature class. I have a set of points that are simple XY points and they need Z values for elevation. I tried to get the elevations to export using Export and Generate 3D Features using loaded elevation data, but the DBF only shows that the features are ZM Aware...no elevation attribute is added to the table. Any ideas or advice?
Thanks!

Figured it out. I added an ELEVATION field into the SHP DBF and formatted it as a double. Went through the Export flow and told GM14 to Generate 3D Features Using Loaded Elevation Data and PRESTO!!!! Instant 3D point features.

You can also do this by simply selecting the points with the Digitizer Tool, then right-clicking and selecting the Attribute submenu command to apply elevations.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,
