Hi Mike,

Would it be possible to add the Gridding Tab when using Combine Terrain Layers+the option to Export Grids Directly to GM Grid Files Rather...?

Thanks,

Remi

    Remi,

There shouldn't be any issues with the memory when combining terrain layers as the results automatically spill to disk if too large, so those options aren't really necessary. Once the single large grid is created you can of course export to any format that you want and grid into smaller pieces on export if you need to.

    Thanks,

I want to use this in comparing 2 Map Catalogs(each covering the same area, more than 10000km2 /tif format from 0.5 to 5 m pixel). My ideea was that if is slow or difficult to open and view the files from 1 map catalog (not inside a map catalog) it will be more difficult to create just one grid from the 2 even if i put a grid of 10m when i want to see the differance for example.

    Thanks

I did discover that the speed of comparing 2 map catalogs wasn't as optimal as it could be as the combine terrain was designed for 2 normal layers. I've got that improved now. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper14.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v14.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v14 version there is a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper14_64bit.zip .

    Thanks,
