I have a download of World Imagery loaded onto my screen. The metadata section says the resolution is 0.597 Meters. However, the on screen resolution looks more like 15 meter. Also, when export it to a raster image the exported raster imager resolution is reported as 0.597 meters but the result is nowhere near that high resolution.

That is the resolution of the most-detailed pre-rendered tile layer on the server, but that doesn't mean that the imagery it is based on has that high of resolution. Most parts of the world have 1-2m resolution, but there could still be some parts that are just oversampled 15m Landsat. What part of the world are you looking at?

    Thanks,

Thanks for responding Mike. Oversampled low res imagery makes sense. We are looking in the Philippines:

    West Longitude 121.885 E
    North Latitude 6.768 N
    East Longitude 122.025 E
    South Latitude 6.629 N

    Michael,

It does indeed appear that heavily oversampled imagery is at that location. The MapQuest OpenAerial source didn't have anything there, but of course the premium DigitalGlobe source has very high resolution (0.5m) imagery for that area.

    Thanks,
