Favorites droplist remains selected when clicking in the workspace.

Mike,

When we select a favorite in the droplist, it remains selected until the "Run" button is clicked or some popup window changes the focus, even when we click the workspace or do something like adding/editing features.

Sometimes it prevents the scroll wheel from zooming in or out because it scrolls through the droplist options instead.

Ah good catch. I've got that fixed now so the focus is restored to the main map after selecting a favorite item (or a shader drop-down item as well). Make sure you have beta 2 installed, then you can get a new build with the change. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper14.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v14.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v14 version there is a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper14_64bit.zip .

I'm editing some tracklogs and this was becoming quite annoying

I really like this favorites list, it makes it a lot easier ans faster to do things.
