Selection tool is selecting additional items (areas)

I have a strange feature selection issue. When I select some features it selects the item I want plus another feature completely unrelated. The workspace projection is Polar Stereographic as the data is in the Arctic Ocean. The layer projection is "geographic". If I transform the layer to PS it selects the features normally. I don't know if there is anything you can do about this. But I don't want to have to transform my layers to polar stereographic. One of the benefits of GM I highly regard is its ability to keep the source data in its native projection.

I have attached an example. Select the range ring "X" and it will select X plus A. Select the point X and it behaves normally.

I took a look and was able to improve the selection in the presence of ATM-crossing features like you have so they wouldn't be erroneously selected. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper13.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v13.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v13 version there is a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper13_64bit.zip .
