Transparent backround pixels

Hi,

I am exporting a geotiff file to jpeg and Edras image files. When I first made the geotiff file I was able to select make backround pixels transparent. However jpeg and Edras exporting menus do not have these options so when they are created they have an outline of the backround around them. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this probelm?

You will have to use another format as neither the JPEG nor Erdas Imagine formats support marking pixels as transparent. Many other formats do though, like JPEG2000 and PNG.
