Crash in NCSEcw.dll

Hi,

(new user here ;)

I received 4 test ECW files which will crash in "NCSEcw.dll".

My DLL version is 1.6.6.32 but I could reproduce the problem also in the DLL from "global_mapper11.zip".

Where can I upload the ECW files, is it possible to get an update of the DLL?

    They do have a new version of the ECW SDK that we are working on upgrading to that should fix many of the bugs in the older ECW SDK. It is not a free drop-in upgrade though, we are working on getting licensed for their new version, then we have to do some software changes to work with their new SDK version. So unfortunately not a quick fix.

    Thanks for the info. I am new here, who is "they"? ;) My DLL is old, from the ECW JPEG 2000 SDK. The latest DLL still has the same old bugs ... so I don't believe a newer DLL will have a fix. If anyone wants my test files, I can send or upload them. Thanks.

    "They" are the owners of the ECW/JPEG2000 SDK, which is not technically Intergraph. The company has changed hands several times over the last few years, being Erdas before this, Leica Geosystems before that, and ERMapper originally.

    We have several of our own test files that fail in similar ways in the old SDK, that then work perfectly when using the latest read ECW SDK when we have been able to test it, so it is likely that once we can upgrade the problem will be solved.
