I have a large map of an entire county in pdf format which I would like to import into Global Mapper. I know about Georectifying, but this map is too large to save as a jpg file without cropping, and I want to import it as a whole. Is there a way to do this?

I have Global Mapper V13.00 on Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks.

Just load the PDF file directly using File->Open Data File, then you will have it directly in Global Mapper.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thank you for your reply.

I attempted that and got the message "PDF import is not yet supported for the 64-bit version of Global Mapper. Contact support@globalmapper.com to see if a newer version with PDF support is available or use the 32-bit version of Global Mapper to export PDF files."

So, are there any other ways in which to import the PDF in the 64-bit version of Global Mapper?

    Thanks.

We have only very recently added support for PDF files in the 64-bit version, so a new build will fix this for you. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper13_64bit.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v13.xx installation folder to give it a try.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
