Google Tile Downsampling

I had a question about exporting raster data in google tile format.

What sort of downsampling takes place (Nearest Neighbor, Bilinear, etc.) when generating the lower resolution tiles?

We use both slope data and land cover data in the maps that we create.

It depends in part on how you have resampling setup for the input layers when you export. When using the default resampling you will get an automatic downsampling at lower resolutions based on how much lower than the native resolution it is, with a box averager being the most common for the lower zoom scales. The latest builds will disable this for land cover types where this is not desirable if the layer is detected as land cover automatically. Otherwise you can disable the automatic resampling using an option in the Advanced section of the General tab of the Configuration dialog.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
