The image I'm getting downloaded is not the image I'm seeing on GM screen.
An older version of the imagery is what is downloading but I need the newer version.
Is there a way to control this?
And I've used the screen capture but the resolution is degraded.

What data source are you using? If DigitalGlobe, are you explicitly choosing the data source that you need when loading it or just letting it choose the "best" one, which may end up as a higher resolution but older image. You might also try clearing the cache on the File->Download Online Imagery/Data dialog in case there is some older imagery for the more detailed zoom layers cached on your hard drive that are being used.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Hi Mike,
Thanks for your usual virtually instantaneous response.
I'm downloading World Imagery from the Worldwide Data. I tried clearing the cache just before my last attempt.
For the area I'm looking at

    WEST LONGITUDE=121.21982755° W
    NORTH LATITUDE=38.80916574° N
    EAST LONGITUDE=121.19384829° W
    SOUTH LATITUDE=38.79796122° N

I can see the new interchange but can't get it to export that version.

    Thanks
    Jay

    Jay,

I took a look. It appears as the most detailed zoom layers of that map have the older imagery, so any access below about 0.75 m/pixel is getting the higher resolution, but older data. If you export at 0.8 meters per pixel resolution or higher you should get the older imagery that you want.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,
