VN-2000 Grid - Vietnam

Mike,

I am currently using v12 and do not see "VN-2000" Projection for Vietnam. Can you create this projection for me or is it listed under a different name?

    The VN-2000 datum is basically the same as WGS84. It looks like UTM zones 48N and 49N are commonly used with this datum. Just select WGS84 in place of this datum.

    Should I copy the WGS84 Datum and make my own "VN-2000"?

    Ah based on that there is a shift. I would create your own VN-2000 datum based on the WGS84 ellipsoid and with those transformation parameters. I will likely also add this as a built-in datum.

    If you are using v13 I have completed adding VN-2000 as a built-in datum to a new build. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper13.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v13.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v13 version there is a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper13_64bit.zip .

    You will need to create a custom datum in GM 11, or upgrade to GM 17.
