Search Vector Data dialog - unwanted reorder after changing layer of some objects

Hi Mike,
I've noticed a strange behavior of the "Search Vector Data dialog". Here it is:
I first sort the list on some attribute - say X. Then I mark several objects, hit "Edit selected", add a new layer and change those objects location to the new layer.
After closing the Edit dialog with OK, the list gets randomly resorted and the header with of each attribute's column in the list gets really huge.
After such a change I have to bring back the headers to normal size and then resort the list on the attribute X again.
I suppose this behavior is not intended, or it is rather a wanted one?

vax,
I took a look and have fixed this so that the sort order and column sizes should be maintained if possible. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper12.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v12.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v12 version there is a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper12_64bit.zip .
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I had the chance to test this fix yesterday.
Up to me the problem still exist, at least partially. The List view now does not reoder items as before, but column headers keep changing their size randomly.
Another problem regarding the list, here are the steps:
I double click on a random item to get it displayed & selected on the main window. Then I double click the item on the window, bring up the Modify Feature Info dialog, change e.g. item's type and close.
I would expect the list to update the feature's new type but it just keeps the old type (no refresh happens). This seems quite illogical because if I use the same Modify Feature Info dialog by clicking at the list, the item gets updated.
Refards,

Vax,
I did update the search dialog to redraw when the classification of a feature changes so at least that inconsistency is fixed. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper13.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v13.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v13 version there is a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper13_64bit.zip .
I will see if I can do anything else about the column size re-ordering when a new search has to be done.
Thanks,
Mike
