Cropping & exporting an ECW file

Hi Mike,

I am currently using version 11.02. I'm having trouble exporting a select area of an image using the digitiser tool. I use the Export Raster and Elevation Data - Export ECW File, and in the options I have chosen Crop to Selected Area Feature(s).

I am able to crop and export vector layers but Im having issues with an ecw file. I get the following messages:

Unable to generate ECW file K:\Documents\GIS\GIS Requests\Janine\Janine.ecw.
Timeout waiting for data from K:\DOCUMENTS\GIS\GIS REQUESTS\JANINE\CAMPBELLTOWN_RGB_FEB2010_10CM_MGA54.ECW
.\ECWOverlay.cpp - 3617

ECWOverlay.cpp - 1671
Version: v11.02
Build Time: Apr 23 2010 14:31:49

I then get the following message:

ECW Exception

Is there any solution?

Cheers,

    Hodgie,

That's not a problem with the cropping but a problem reading from one of the input ECW files. More than likely there is a corrupt section of the ECW file and when that section is reached the ECW read library generates an error.

    Thanks,

    Mike
