problem trying to scale point styles

Hey!

I've read how to scale point style sizes, but when I do it, it doesn't work. I've gone in to configure and scaled the point 'DOT' up by 4 times and it doesn't change. I also have made sure that the point feature is using the 'DOT' style for it's point. What am I missing here?!?!?!

Which version of Global Mapper are you using? There are custom symbols at the top of the symbol list where you can specify several common shapes (including dots) with a custom size and color. I would suggest using those.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

I'm using version 12.0... haven't upgraded yet. I've tried using the common shapes to no avail. I have also created several custom point styles which I can change between, but when I go to scale them, they don't change at all. I've tried making radical changes to scale with no difference on the screen.

The custom shapes aren't obeying the size that you set? I just created a custom dot of size 60 and color green and I got a big green dot on the screen for that point. Where are you setting up the point styles?

I would suggest upgrading to v12.02. You can get it from the links below:

    32-bit: http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper12_setup.exe
    64-bit: http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper12_setup_64bit.exe

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
