Unknown error while rendering overlays, you should probably save and quit.
Error decoding image [8022]

Problems while viewing .sid files from
ftp://www.pasda.psu.edu/pub/pasda/mrsid/doq/beaver_falls_pa.zip

Seems to work ok for awhile and then I receive this error while moving around in area that was working. Occurred with a January build and also with the latest build I just downloaded. Both the 64bit and x86 version.

I"ll take a look and see if I can reproduce the issue.

    Thanks,

There appears to be a corrupt section of the SID image causing the errors. If you zoom in to the coordinate (558504, 4516756) you can get the error to occur, so at least that one tile is bad. I'm not sure if there are other corrupt tiles. You might have to get a new file from the data provider.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

I used LizardTech's GeoViewer to open that coordinate and was able to view it without an error. Is there anyway for Global Mapper to handle corruption more gracefully?

    Thanks

If you zoom way in on the coordinate does it still process without error? The error is actually coming from LizardTech's MrSID decoding library when we try and decode around that point at full detail (but not at lower detail levels).

    Thanks,
