map catalog bad files

When I create a map catalog of a bunch of files (many many thousands) and if one of those files has an error, it stops the map catalog creation process. This is annoying as I might start it at the end of the day so it can run through the night - only to look in the morning that it stopped shortly after I left. So my suggestion is as follows-

If I start a catalog (I'm using add directory in this case) let it attempt to add all the files and save the list that it can't load to the clipboard or a text file so I can investigate at a later time.

This would still allow the catalog to get created, and give me a list of bad files. I can then just delete the bad files or do whatever, but I would always end up with a catalog of good files.
