KMZ vs Transparency

Hi,
While exporting TIFF into KMZ we have a option PNG(Supports Transparency)
But then the KMZ isn't transparent, i mean even areas with no data.
What I am doing wrong?

Julian,
Do you not have transparency output the original area of the TIFF data that was exported to the KMZ? Any areas where there isn't any input data should be transparent in the output if you choose PNG as the export format.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
Yes I do - but is there any way I can totally switch certain RGB off. So I won't see it at all?
At the moment I can play with "transparency" in Google Earth but still... I will see that background and my data in the same way - my aim is to not see the background at all.
Thanks for your time,

J,
Yes, you can set a color transparent for a layer on the Options dialog for the layer accessible via the Control Center, then pixels of that color will be transparent in the exported KMZ file.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike
