Combining 2 layers

I would like to combine 2 layers: A DTM layer and layer containing Lakes.

When combining, I would like to have the z-values from the Lake layer as the resulting z-value in the combined layer.

Can I do this?

Yes, to do this load your DTM layer first, then the lake layer. Then, right-click on the lake layer with Z values in the Control Center and select the option to create a new elevation grid from the layer and choose to flatten the areas. Once that is done, you should have a new terrain layer with just the lake elevations on top of the DTM layer. You can then export to a new elevation grid file to get the combined result in a single new file.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
