Support for raster-format PIX

Is it possible to add support for PCI Geomatics raster format with the extension PIX? It does exist a plugin for ArcGIS if that is any help in creating support for PIX in GM. An article may be at "Free PIX Raster Plug-in Now Available From PCI Geomatics® for ArcGIS"

    There is not currently any support for that format in Global Mapper. The ArcGIS plugin doesn't help, but perhaps that PCI folks that wrote that would be interested in writing a plugin for Global Mapper. Global Mapper's raster plugin architecture is documented on the Developers page at http://www.globalmapper.com.

    Thanks - I have sent them an e-mail and pointed them to this thread. I hope they will either write the plugin or give enough information here so it is possible for us to implement it.
