Global Mapper will not release Garmin USB after raster image download

Global Mapper 11.02

After using Global Mapper to download raster images onto GPS unit, I attempt to "Safely Remove Hardware" in the windows taskbar. I am told that the device is currently in use. The only solution I can find to to quit Global Mapper after a raster load, then GPS can be removed in the normal fashion.

    This is because when you save the file the current working directory for the running Global Mapper instance is then the folder on the GPS device until you do an export to some other location, so it shows as in use. It is still safe to remove the device.
