shape2earth colour screenshots

I don't know if anyone is familiar with shape2earth but it's a great way to save some time and capture georeferenced google screenshots. I'm capturing screenshots, and opening them all up in GM so that i can mosaik them. I am able to capture and open black and white google screenshots (jpeg's) but not colour screenshots (an added function of the shape2earth that you have to pay for). It also produces jpeg but GM is giving me this error message and will not open the file:

not a jpeg file, starts with 0x89 0x50 jpg overlay.cpp-66

Does anyone know a way to resolve this??

    Can you provide one of the color JPG files that won't open? Will those JPG files open in anything else? The error message seems to indicate that they aren't valid JPG files.
