GM11 dgn import/export

Recently started using GM11.02 64bit and cannot import or export dgn data. Any fix available? GM10 worked fine

Unable to load overlay ****.dgn Read access violationat data address 0xFFFFFFF program address 0x400B3E4E

There are known issues loading DGN files in the 64-bit version of Global Mapper v11. We are working on incorporating a new DGN import library that should fix the 64-bit issues. In the meantime, if you use the 32-bit v11.02 installer the DGN files should load fine in that version.

There seems to be some issues on certain filetypes on the 64-bit versjon due to different libraries. Perhaps from a user-perspective it is nice to give a message similar to this when errors occure related to specific libraries? (for instance DGN-files):

"64-version of GlobalMapper does currently not support all DGN-files. We are working to fix this. In the meantime please try to load the file in the 32-bit version of GlobalMapper."

That's a good idea, I went ahead and updated the DGN load error messages for the 64-bit version to specify that problems are known and the 32-bit version should be used. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v11.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit version, there is a new build available at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11_64bit.zip .
