Elevation Legend Scale, Increments, Decimal places

I seem to be having issues with the Elevation Legend.

In one case I have vertical datum ranging from -0.2 meters to +0.05 meters. The legend only shows three increments. The legend values are:
-0.01m, 0.00m, and 0.00m (yes that is correct)

In another case I have vertical datum ranging from 26 meters to 32 meters. The legend shows ten increments at 0.5 meter increments. The problem is that the color scale is a single color throughout the entire range. The triangulated layer shows a full range of color but not the legend.

Is anyone else having issues like this?

I would also like to be able to control the unit increment and number of decimal places for the units on the legend. Is this possible?

Jeff

    Jeff,

What version are you using? Can you provide the data that you are working with to support@globalmapper.com so that I can take a look?

Typically the number of decimals is automatically determined based on the values. There isn't any way to control it.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I sent a GM package file.

Another issue: After changing the legend to display on the right hand side of the window, I couldn't get it to change back to the left side. It would be nice to move and size the legend with the mouse.

    Jeff,

I took a look and found the problem was related to the overridden min/max elevation values in place for the layers. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11.zip with the problem fixed for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v11.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit version, there is a new build available at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11_64bit.zip .

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Jeff,

I forgot to mention that you can position the elevation legend on the Map Layout dialog. Then you can place it wherever you'd like.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Jeff,

I just checked the "display elevation legend on right" toggle and found that it was indeed not working to move it back left. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11.zip with this fixed for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v11.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit version, there is a new build available at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11_64bit.zip .

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Hi MIke,
Piero from Milan, Italy. I have a problem with modification of legend values rappresentation: is it possible to modify the scale of the legend and the values (for. ex. slope in percentage instead of degree; or different scale of elevation values: instead of 0-50, 50-100 etc. I woul'd like toset 0-10, 10-15, 15-20 etc)?
I use vs 14 in italian.
    Thanks and regards.
