Hi I am from Turkey, I'd like to draw geological map in global mapper by new area feature but there isnt any unit symbol in fill pattern for exemple, limestone,sandstone,marble....

    You can add your own custom fill styles from graphic files (i.e. PNG, BMP, etc.) on the Area Styles tab of the Configuration dialog, then use those for any area feature.

    Mike I did you said I mean I formed a symbol(jpeg) and add it global mapper but it just a image, I dont change its colour, transparency,size.... can I create a unit symbol in Global mapper??? or are there available unit symbols???

    You would change the color, transparency, etc. by changing the image prior to adding it as a custom symbol. There is not any way to change that after adding it. I would suggest using the PNG format for your custom styles as it supports transaprency, etc.

    Unfortunately, I havent done, I mean I create a symbol(limestone etc..) corel draw and export png format and then add custom fill pattern and then draw a area feature( on the topographic map and dem), custom style--fill pattern(selected png) but I dont change its transaprency, I d like to see back of symbol(topographic map or dem)

    I think as far as understand I dont create it global mapper...
