Setting of alpha channel for Point Feature

Is it possible to set of the alpha channel for a Point Feature using the SDK?

    While it is not possible to set the alpha channel for built-in point symbols (either in the SDK or Global Mapper), if you add a custom symbol (GM_AddCustomSymbol) from a PNG or BMP file that has an alpha channel, that alpha channel should be used when rendering points with that symbol.

    Thanks Mike for the prompt reply. I have tried doing so but noticed that PNGs with alpha channel tend to lose their transparency when rotated in the SDK. Is this a known issue or am I doing it incorrectly?

    That is a known issue. Currently there is not a fix for rotating symbols with an alpha channel.
