Using Version 11, 64-bit, Vista. When I create a point with "no symbol" I often get a small square around the point's location both on screen and in exports of raster data.

It sounds like you have the point feature selected with the Digitizer Tool. Just press Escape to clear the selection and the box should go away.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

No, unfortunately, I don't (have the point selected with the digitizer tool). When the point IS selected, a second, larger, box is displayed around the unwanted one. Attached is a screenshot showing two identical point features, one selected, one not. The apparent "symbol" is not, in fact, a symbol; it's actually a label, displayed with an unusual font.

I was able to reproduce the problem and fix it. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v11.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit version, there is a new build available at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11_64bit.zip .

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
