Antartic Polar Stereographic is in the Arctic

I cannot get this projection to use South latitudes. I have compared the PRJ file with one generated by ArcGIS and it looks the same, but when I display a shapefile the lat/long indicate North latitudes in the dialog box. When I try to export the vectors in WGS84 decimal degrees they are way up in the Atlantic.

I seem to have trouble posting the prj file as an attachment.
Where does one find them on the forum?
The projection I am trying to define is EPSG: 3031

PRJ files have now been added to the allowed attachments. Try again. Sorry

Well I'd have to see the PRJ file to see why it won't load, but I have gone ahead and added recognition of the EPSG code 3031 on the projection dialog. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper9.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v9.xx installation folder to give it a try.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
