Placing arrows as (line? point?) features

Would like to specify a start location (point) and overlay an arrow on map from that location, with a specified bearing and length. E.g., click on map, specify bearing in degrees, length in meters/kilometers, and color, and have an arrow added to "user features" or other layer, per specifications. Possible?

With the latest release (v10.02) you could create a custom bitmap from an arrow and then place points with that symbol and a specified rotation angle on the map. What you can't do yet is customize the color or length of the symbol (this may be coming in v11 though).

Another option would be to us the Distance/Bearing/COGO Line creation option to draw a line of the desired length at the specified angle and use the line style with an arrow at the end to get the desired affect. This would allow you to control color too, so would probably be the preferable approach.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,
