Hello Mike,
When opening some Mapinfo (TAB/MAP) files, Global Mapper displays the pattern and color originaly associated to objects in Mapinfo, depending on a attribute value.
Is it possible to convert this patterns and colors, which are displayed, in Global Mapper “styles” (editable and applicable to other vector data layers) ?
Thanks.

There's not currently any way to automatically create new types from features when loading MapInfo files, but any drawing styles that are used should be available in Global Mapper already. You can set up new types with those styles on the Area Styles tab of the Configuration dialog, then use those types and their default styles for other features/layers.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike
