Transparent background - on overview not real image

First i loading several GeoTIFFs with overviews.
When I set the transparent to a color it replaces all instances of that color to transparent. However is it possible to add a "quick" mode to this, and only replace the colors on the current Overview? This will speed up the viewing a lot (although it may be inaccurate, this is only for viewing).
By default this option should only be possible on viewing, and when exporting or batch reprojection/export this should not be possible.

If you can provide me with a sample overview'd TIFF file I can take a look and see if I can make the transparency work with overviews for rendering.
Thanks,
Mike

I tried to upload a 11MB zip-file. But after selecting "upload" I only get the "Invalid Post specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator".
Have tried both in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Will try again tomorrow and see if it is some temporarily problem.
UPDATE: Also tried Opera and on another machine. But same error. -
Let me look into that a little. You should be able to add it as an attachement to the post without a problem.

Still have the same problem. And it says "Invalid Post specified". Seems similar to Upload of file failed or this post may also help.

Tried to upload again, but with no luck, so I have embedded the file on a yousendit.com - zip file. Available from 7- days from now. Please download it before it gets removed.

I will contact the hosting company (hopefully will be self-hosted sometime this year) and see if I need to change the default PHP values.
Sorry for the trouble.
I know you could add it to the downloads section. Not attaching it to the post but uploading it. You should have permissions.

I have updated Global Mapper to continue to use overview layers when appropriate even if transparency is enabled for the layer. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper9.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v9.xx installation folder to give it a try.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike
