ECWa format

The latest build of GM (10.01) included the capability to write an alpha channel into an ECW export. This can be a very useful option. The problem is that I use GM in conjuction with another program, Manifold Systems, that also reads and writes ECW files with an alpha channel. Unfortunately, the formatting is slightly different and the two programs cannot read each other's files. (They can read the ECW files, just not the alpha channel.) Is it possible that the file format can be standardized between the programs?
