Creating Area feature from water display

I have a DEM loaded and have the 'Water Display' option on showing inundation limits at a specified elevation. Is there a way to create a new area feature based on the displayed inundation limits?

    There is not currently an automatic way to do this, but you can use the File->Generate Contours menu command to generate a contour lines at just your water height, then close those into areas using the Digitizer Tool if you want.
