GM Scripting - IMPORT Raster

Here is my simple GM Script:

GLOBAL_MAPPER_SCRIPT VERSION=1.00 ENABLE_PROGRESS=NO
UNLOAD_ALL

IMPORT FILENAME="C:\TEMP\RASTERS\T81064NE.tif" TYPE=AUTO

EXPORT_RASTER FILENAME="C:\TEMP\EXPORTED DATA\MyRaster.tif" TYPE=GEOTIFF GEN_PRJ_FILE=YES

My end goal is to export a geotiff's projection information out to a prj. I removed the rest of the script because I am having issues with the import statement.

I run the above script as such:

"C:\Program Files\GlobalMapper9\global_mapper9.exe" "convert_raster.gms"

When I execute the script I immediately get prompted with a "Select Projection for [RASTER NAME]". I don't want to define a projection I want GM to tell me the projection. Is this possible?

Cheers

    Raistlin,

The problem appears to be that the T81064NE.tif file does not contain embedded projection information and the projection information is not available automatically from some external file (like a PRJ file), so Global Mapper has to ask for the projection for that file. It can't tell you the projection if it does not know it.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
