Scripting - Create Elevation Grid from 3d Vector Data
MRN
Global Mapper User
Hi All,
I new to GM so I'm still on the steep side of the learning curve - but here goes. I have about 100 3d point tiles in shapefile format that I want to create elevation grids from via the scripting language. I've quickly reviewed the scripting documentation but can't find (or am just missing) a command or group of commands to accomplish this. Any ideas?

I'd suggest first exporting the Shapefile format data using the EXPORT_VECTOR command to a simple ASCII file, then use the IMPORT_ASCII command to import and grid that.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike
