Merging Polygons?

Hi,

I'm trying to merge polygons in a shapefile. Its easy enough to select them using the Digitizer tool, but can you merge them?

    Global Mapper does not currently have any support for merging multiple selected polygons into a single new polygon.

    Could you export a new single shapefile with the polygons you want to merge?

    Hi, thanks for the responses. No, that wouldn't work, as the polygons are in the same file to start with.
