joining line segments to create el. profile

Is it possible to select multiple line segments to create a elevation profile? I am using an older version of GM 6.xx, would using the latest release allow me to do this?

    All versions of Global Mapper are limited to displaying profiles for a single line at a time. If you want to combine multiple lines into a single profile, you could use the Digitizer Tool to first select the lines, then right click and select the option to combine them, then display the path profile for the combined line.
